Okay, first off, why are people whining about an older actor playing the part? In my eyes, as long as the Capaldi plays the part well, it shouldn't matter how old he is (Side note: Peter's now the same age as William Hartnell, who played the 1st Doctor, 55.).

Second, people are also whining about the fact Peter was in Doctor Who before, specifically during the 10th Doctor's time in the episode "The Fires of Pompeii". Okay, two things. One: Why should that matter? And two: If the BBC thinks Peter can play the part of the Doctor, then let him try. People are allowed to have their views and opinions on how bad an actor he is. But that's all they are. Opinions!

My way of going about this is just waiting until Series 8/Capaldi's first episode premieres to make a judgement on his ability to play the part. I'm not letting supposed bad acting and opinions ruin Doctor Who for me, and I never will.

The age has to do something with William Hurt. It's quite a jump in age but I'm fine with it.
